EXCITING ANNOUNCMENT! We are excited to share that we have a location and date for our SHRM Texas 2025 Student Conference and Competition. Thank you to Texas A&M University – San Antonio for hosting our conference and competition on March 8th, 2025! Emails will be going out to Chapter Presidents and Advisors. Merit Award Winners To be recognized the following student chapters had to be in good standing with SHRM, along with they had complete 3 items in section 2A, and worked on 5-8 activities or projects from Section 2B: Tarleton State University Baylor University West Texas A&M University Superior Merit Award To be recognized the following student chapters had to be in good standing with SHRM, along with they had complete 3 items in section 2A, had to complete 3 and worked on 9-12 activities or projects from Section 2B : University of Texas at San Antonio University of Texas at Dallas Texas A&M University, San Antonio University of Houston – Downtown Outstanding Student Chapter To be recognized the following student chapter had complete all 5 items in section 2A, meet the qualifications for a Superior Merit Award AND showing how they had a successful project or activity during the program year: University of North Texas Please help me in congratulating the hard work of all the students during the 2023-2024 year that was recognized for their efforts!! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In April Texas SHRM hosted our annual Student Conference and Competition. UNT was a gracious host and we greatly appreciate everything they provided for our students and facilitators. This year we saw 8 student teams and we are extremely to announce that our winner for 2024 was first time attendee school University of Houston – Downtown! Congratulations to Jorge Bautista, Alejandro Martinez, Dee Manor, Yasmin Flores, and Irene Car-Young for all of your hard work and dedication to your profession!
