The conversation is a knowledge share on career transition, steps and best practices for those to follow. His focus will be sharing the partnership HR holds with the business clients and how Data is the key to ensuring the Business knows the importance of HR and its role. He will share his journey from General Manager to HR Business Partner, the reasoning for his career transformation, and the role of the Business Partner through the lens of the business first, then HR.

He will discuss:

• How to leverage HR from the lens of business

• How to balance the two creating a strong synergy, which allows HR to gain leverage while maintaining HR integrity

• How to balance the responsibility between the Organization and the employee advocate

Speaker Bio:

Sam Moore, SHRM-CP, is a Senior Corporate Human Resource Business Partner with Whole Foods Market as a member of the Global Support Team. He is a successful Human Resource Professional with an emphasis on leading and supporting with teams from all levels, Executive to front line employees, through development and coaching in professional environments for the past 25 years. He has led teams to successful achievements in sales/marketing strategies driving revenues for such companies as Restoration Hardware and The Container Store. Prior to Whole Foods Market, Sam was previously at Builder Homesite, Inc. a digital marketing and advertising company as HR Business Partner.

Sam is certified SHRM-CP and an active member of SHRM. He is passionate about his profession and is active in the local HR community. He serves on the board of CTCBA as President-Elect. He previously served as VP of Programs. He has also held the board position of VP Communications for AustinSHRM (formerly AHRMA) as well as part of several committees with AustinSHRM. He was Chapter Partner with the global HR learning community, Hacking HR. Sam received a Bachelor of Business degree in Human Resource Management from The University of Texas at San Antonio. He earned his SHRM certification through a partnership with AustinSHRM (AHRMA) and Concordia University.
