About the presenter:
Dr. Alexander Alonso, PhD, SHRM-SCP is the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM's) Chief Knowledge Officer leading operations for SHRM Certification, Research functions, SHRM's Paragon Labs, and SHRM Foundation. During his career, he has led numerous global business initiatives with the aim of unleashing human potential through evidence-based management. His works have been published in top peer-reviewed journals and he has published several books including The Price of Pettiness, a guide to enhancing workplace culture. His works have been recognized by groups such as the American Psychological Association for their contribution to real-world issues having received more than $10 million in research funding from well-known foundations. Dr. Alonso serves as a columnist analyzing major trends in the workforce for The Industrial Psychologist and HR Magazine. In addition, he has served on several professional society boards including the SIOP and the Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington. Dr. Alonso is a Fellow of the Society of Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Division 14 of the American Psychological Association. He received his doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology from Florida International University in 2003.
